One of the most iconic archetypes: the Chesterfield. The classic sofa is reinvented by stripping it of its details and minimizing it to a contemporary, sculptural sofa. The Chester Sofa makes for a monumental eye-catcher in every space and is just as comfortable as it is stunning. Designed by Lex Pott.
Where we gather and relax - in living rooms and around dining tables - comfort is key. From the late Cini Boeri's Strips Sofa, with an irresistibly inviting quilted design, to Pierre Paulin's Pacha series, a plump, dumpling-like form, to the sumptuous curves of the new Big Big Chair by Kristian Sofus Hansen & Tommy Hyldahl, forgo the traditional wood or metal legs in favor of Something Softer with fully upholstered seating.
With the fully upholstered Suit Chair, designer Monica Förster introduces a new standard of seating comfort. This unique chair will add an exclusive elegance and individuality to any space. Made by Artifort.
The Pacha Sofa intends to create a sensation of ‘sitting on clouds’. A little ahead of its time when designed by Pierre Paulin in 1975, the collection is finally coming into its own today. Paulin’s vision of sitting in an entire cloud formation is made possible by the many modular combinations available. Made by Gubi.
With its simplified block-like structure, the Big Big Chair is a reinterpretation of a classic Art Deco lounge chair. The voluminous and organic shapes of the NORR11 chair provide comfort and a feeling of relaxation. Designed by Kristian Sofus Hansen and Tommy Hyldahl.
The Group Chaise uses primary shapes in a concise way to form the base, back and seat. Designed to be both comfortable and tactile, and to work in an array of different settings, Group is part of a versatile collection that was awarded the Design Guild Mark in 2018.
Like a warm embrace, the Malibu Settee welcomes you to stay within and relax. An elevated homage to the golden age of mid-century design and organic architecture, it radiates through its unusual proportions and strong curves with softness and fine detailing resulting in a must-have piece.
At the end of the 60s, the architect Cini Boeri revolutionized the furniture sector with a piece that is now a classic: the Strips Modular Sofa. It has won the Compasso d'Oro award and is exhibited in various museums around the world. Faina's Domna Armchair is a design with a soft appearance and hawkish temper, which makes her the mistress of any space. In Ancient Ukrainian, "domna" means home-maker or goddess of welfare.
Also from Faina, the Toptun Chair was created with the idea of "soft geometry" - a simply shaped design, but with a strong outline.
The Crown Armchair features a strong backrest perched on the armrest, resulting in an open back section and a clever and playful aesthetic. Conversely, the chair's legs are solid and straight to the ground, making a bold statement.
From Menu, the Offset 3 Seater is the result of research into ‘balance’ by design studio Norm Architects. The studio wanted to create a sofa as simply as possible while embracing a set of paradoxes: making it substantial yet delicate in appearance, architectural yet inviting and homey.
The fun and sophisticated Jacob Armchair has a simple shape and attractive color game, along with other possible combinations of materials, making it very versatile in style.
