Project Description
The Gensler team was tasked to renovate the lobby and create a conference room space, a fitness center, and a checklist of other amenities at Ballston Point, a 270,000 sf, Class A, Metro-proximate office building in Arlington, VA. The Pinkard Group, PGIM, and Lincoln Properties worked alongside Gensler to transcend the typical office building renovation. Together, they joined forces to energize the streetscape and connect every amenity function for a high-impact experience.
The design sets Ballston Point apart from other office buildings in the area and distinguishes it from the street level and to visitors upon arrival, including design elements in the lobby to help establish a hospitality vibe, including a seating area with a jewel box effect and a sliding partition that leads into a retail space. Fitted with lounge seating, formal meeting areas, and a coffee bar (see below for the design procured through Haute Living), the lines of functionality are blended, yielding more space and serving as a magnet for future tenants.
Ballston Point serves as an exemplary model of repositioning. It helps to redefine the Ballston market through a unique amenity experience, enticing both visitors and future tenants into a completely novel workplace journey.
