The Edith Chaise has a timeless elegance, with an organic form and Missana's trademark quality and attention to detail. Re-released this year as part of the Novelties collection, it brings refined personality and strong presence to every project.
2018 is drawing to an end, and what better way to close it out than with a year-end list! From Stockholm to Milan to London design weeks (and even more in between), we've seen a multitude of innovative, beautiful, and unique designs launched in 2018. This week, however, it all comes down to the numbers - we're featuring the most requested new designs of the year.
Simplicity and functionality are at the forefront of the design of the Bat Lounge Chair by Gubi. Available with a high or low back, and a variety of upholsteries and bases, the chair was a big hit at Salone del Mobile 2018.
Initially designed by Viggo Boesen in 1938, the Little Petra Chair was reintroduced by &tradition this year. Its softer and more organic aesthetic challenged the minimalistic approach of Bauhaus, in a style known as funkis.
Moooi is known for its collaborations with innovative designers - with the Meshmatics Chandelier, Rick Tegelaar elevates the nature of humble wire netting by developing tools to appreciate its full potential. The thin and flexible material is stretched and layered to reflect and diffuse integrated LED lighting.
Miniforms started experimenting with Murano glass in the 1970s, and even though the times have changed, the glass is blown as it once was: requiring a master glassblower and two strong lungs. The Mastea Tables were this year's take on a classic.
The Stay Oval Sofa from Gubi features sculptural and organic lines that embraces the user and encourages them to stay seated.

By utilizing primary shapes in a concise manner, the Group Sofa is both structured and soft. Also available are the matching Group Cocktail Chair and Group Armchair.
Inspired by the shapes of Dutch mounds, the Terp Tables and Poufs are another design introduced at Salone del Mobile 2018. Their friendly & soft surfaces are both fun and functional.
Simple, and yet extraordinarily experimental, the Latch Table features three layered pieces to create a multi-dimensional top. Designed for Bolia by Singapore-based Dazingfeelsgood.
Exploring a juxtaposition of time, purpose, and aesthetics, the Elliot Dining Table by Jason Miller was inspired by architecture trends prevalent in his native Brooklyn.
