Designed by Keiji Ashizawa, the A-DC05 Dining Chair was conceived for laid-back comfort in the dining environment. A large upholstered seat back creates a distinctive presence and sense of privacy, while the beautifully curved lines of solid wood keep the overall impression light and refined. The result is a luxury dining chair that brings both comfort and quiet elegance to high-end restaurant and hospitality interiors. First realized at Logy Taipei, a fine-dining restaurant in Taipei's Neihu district, the A-DC05 demonstrates how Japanese woodcraft translates seamlessly into a contemporary hospitality setting.
Born in Japan and rooted in over eight decades of wood craftsmanship, Karimoku Case is a contemporary furniture brand that begins where most end: with the space itself. Each collection is conceived by a world-renowned architect in response to a specific architectural project, then handcrafted entirely in-house by Karimoku Case's skilled craftspeople in Aichi, Japan. Working with studios including Norm Architects and Keiji Ashizawa, the brand produces luxury solid wood furniture from sustainably sourced Japanese oak, chestnut and maple. Each piece is designed for high-end residential, hospitality and contract interiors where material integrity and considered design are non-negotiable.
Norm Architects designed the N-SW01 Swivel Chair for Bellustar Tokyo, the Pan Pacific Hotel occupying the upper floors of Tokyu Kabukicho Tower in Shinjuku. Minimalistic in its luxury, the chair features a crafted circular base and refined upholstery that provide remarkable support and comfort while preserving a strong sense of privacy. It rotates seamlessly on its own axis and returns to its origin when not in use, making it an ideal luxury lounge chair for high-end hotel interiors and boutique hospitality environments.
The A-S02 Sofa, designed by Keiji Ashizawa, rests on a plinth of cut-out natural wood that creates the sensation of sitting on a small, smooth pebble. Organic lines and substantial volume bring a sense of stability to the space, while the enveloping seat offers a deeply relaxed seating experience. The three-seater version, with its generous proportions, doubles as a daybed, making it a versatile luxury upholstered sofa for both high-end residential and boutique hospitality settings. Notably, the A-S02 is featured in the Azabu Hills Residence, a luxury condominium renovation in Minami-Azabu, Tokyo.
The N-PL01 Pendant Lamp, designed by Norm Architects, takes its form from the high, triangular roof construction of the Archipelago House on the Swedish coast. A single piece of Washi paper covers the base, held in place by magnets for easy disassembly, and acts as a screen that diffuses warm, indirect light both downward and to the sides. A considered lighting solution for luxury hospitality and contract interiors that value material honesty and quiet craftsmanship.
Also designed by Norm Architects, the N-LC02 Lounge Chair shares its basic construction with the N-LC01 but features a free-hanging seat in either leather or canvas that forms naturally to the body of the user. The result is a lighter, more relaxed expression that draws its references from the traditional safari chair. Well-suited for boutique hotel lobbies, high-end residential lounges and contract interiors that call for considered, architecturally informed seating.
Designed by Norm Architects for Restaurang ÄNG, the Michelin-starred Swedish restaurant set within a modern glass house neighboring Ästad vineyard, the N-CT02 Coffee Table was conceived as a simple solution to the ever-changing needs of a restaurant environment. Its cubic design language offers an understated modularity, making it easy to rearrange as group sizes shift through the evening. A luxury contract coffee table that stands with equal presence alone as a plinth-like object or in multiples across a larger hospitality space.
The NF-S01 Sofa, designed by Norman Foster, evolves the distinctive silhouette of the NF lounge series into an expansive, architecturally defined statement. A deeper seat and generously thickened backrest are supported by an expressive timber exoskeleton that puts Karimoku's Japanese woodcraft front and center. For luxury residential and high-end hospitality environments, it is a designer sofa that carries the authority of its maker in every joint and surface.
Norm Architects designed the N-DC06 Dining Chair for Vinhuset, a hospitality project set within the landscape of Ästad Vingård in Sweden. Its sculptural hourglass silhouette draws lines inward toward a chamfered seat, creating an architectural expression that is as visually considered as it is comfortable. Crafted in solid wood, the rounded backrest allows freedom of movement and encourages relaxed seating over extended periods, making it a refined choice for luxury restaurant and contract dining environments.
The N-S02 Modular Sofa, designed by Norm Architects, is built from a solid wooden base and soft upholstery, with rounded cushions that invite the user into its universe. Exquisitely crafted joinery details in the timber frame speak directly to the production heritage that is unique to Karimoku in Japan. A luxury modular sofa system that brings Japanese woodcraft and considered Scandinavian design thinking into high-end residential and contract interiors in equal measure.
Softness and comfort are at the heart of the NF-LC01 Lounge Chair, designed by Norman Foster. A low-slung seat, deeply cushioned upholstery and rounded profiles are held within expertly crafted, precise timber framing, producing a chair that feels both sophisticated and approachable. It is equally at home as a lounge accent in high-end residential living areas and boutique hotel lobbies, where considered design and lasting material quality are equally non-negotiable.
Keiji Ashizawa designed the A-DT03 Dining Table as an adaptation of the A-DT02, refined specifically for European hospitality and culture. The legs' shape and attachment angle are drawn from the original design, while the absence of an apron creates a visual lightness that gives the table remarkable versatility. A luxury solid wood dining table that performs equally well across fine-dining restaurants, contract interiors and hospitality facilities of all scales.
Designed by Norman Foster, the NF-DT01 Dining Table and NF-DC01 Dining Chair were conceived as a unified system. The table's simple silhouette and refined geometry are characteristic of the NF Collection, with soft corners that embrace the language of the chair whose sloping armrests tuck neatly into the matching angle on the table's underside. Together they form a complete luxury dining solution: precise in its craftsmanship, resolved in its design, and equally suited to high-end residential dining rooms and contract hospitality environments.
