OXFORD CHAIR by FRITZ HANSEN
Description: Fritz Hansen's "Oxford" chairs, designed by Arne Jacobsen, are available with high, medium, or low backs, are available with or without arms, and are available on a wide range of castors.
The original version of the "Oxford" chair was designed for the professors at St. Catherine’s College in Oxford in 1963. The chair’s extra-tall back created a space of its own and served as a symbol of prestige. The “professor’s chair” later evolved into the "Oxford" series. This groundbreaking example of total design is considered Arne Jacobsen's most outstanding work.
The "Oxford" chair has been revitalized and now it looks more like the original tall, wooden chair.
The chair is available in a number of variations. Choose from a footed or castor base; armchair; low, high, and medium backs; front or full upholstery. Front upholstery version is available on with medium back.
Finishes: Available in a variety of fabrics or leather. Armrests and back available in satin-polished aluminum.
Measurements: Available in a variety of sizes.
