Secto Design is a Finnish Company specializing in wooden designer lamps, inspiring people all over the world. Secto lamps are handmade from Finnish birch by highly skilled craftsmen. The designs by interior architect Seppo Koho have a clear and simple Scandinavian feel. The wooden construction is unobtrusive and provides a soft luminosity for atmosphere and appeal.

The new floor, table and wall lamps designed by architect Seppo Koho comply with Secto Design’s familiar, clear-cut Scandinavian line, but effort has been devoted in their technical aspects to ergonomic directability of the light in particular. The shades of the new lamps are made of Finnish birch, like all of the Secto Design range, and they are available laminated in black or white as well as in plain birch, in addition to which they can be veneered in other woods for special projects.

Secto Design’s lamps have long been popular with hotel architects due to their timeless design and the wooden structure that gives them a cosy atmosphere. Today, particular attention has been paid in the design of the new collection to the needs of accommodation facilities through research into lamp functionality and applications in small spaces. The new lamps also make excellent bedroom lamps for private homes as well as for workspaces and offices.

LED as a Light Source:

The Cologne Furniture Fair will also see the unveiling of an LED version of the award-winning Atto pendant lamp. Progress in LEDs is rapid today, and improved solutions are being launched on the market almost weekly. Secto Design monitors advances and will offer LED lamps as soon as their output and price reach the right level. LEDs have the advantages of small size, durability and low energy consumption.
